Wall termination is 1-inch by 1/8-inch aluminum termination bar bedded in SikaFlex-1a polyurethane sealant, fastened to the block or poured wall with 2-1/4-inch Tapcon masonry screws every 12 inches. That mechanical connection is what keeps the liner from walking down the wall in year four — tape stuck to dusty block is the shortcut that fails inside two summers on nearly every job we tear out and redo.
Pier wrapping is individual, not continuous. Each pier — brick, poured concrete, or block — gets its own 20-mil wrap that extends from the pier base up to the top of the pier or to the bottom of the girder it supports.
