The drainage fix is not upsell — it is the difference between a permanent repair and a temporary one.

Mudjacking is cheaper — why do you push polyurethane instead?

Mudjacking looks cheaper on the invoice but it costs you more over time in three ways. First, the 2-inch mudjacking holes never patch invisibly and they are visible for the life of the slab. Second, cement-and-sand slurry weighs about 100 pounds per cubic foot, which loads the already-compromised subgrade with more weight and can accelerate re-settlement. Third, mudjacking slurry breaks down over 10 to 15 years from moisture cycling, so the void reforms and the panel settles again. Polyurethane foam patches through 5/8-inch ports that disappear with weathering, weighs about 4 pounds per cubic foot, and is hydrophobic so it does not degrade from moisture cycling.
